Davenport University’s Institute for Professional Excellence is seeking an energetic, entrepreneurial leader to grow the institute to the next level. The Institute is an integral part of Vision 2015. The University, through the Institute, is committed to the vision of providing customized training to help both the for profit and not-for-profit community prepare and adapt to the business challenges facing organizations today. The Institute for Professional Excellence was developed to specialize in providing individual and corporate training, professional development and certification programs that emphasize the practical skills facing tomorrow’s economic challenges. The successful candidate will be an energetic entrepreneurial leader who fully understands and embraces the Vision of the University. The ideal candidate will bring a strong demonstrated background in consultative selling to both the public and private sectors. This executive will have demonstrated the ability to lead a team and has direct experience making presentations to senior executives and to boards. This position will be responsible for the growth, development and delivery of non-credit education, customized credit programs, training programs and other services to enhance an organization’s success. This executive will collaborate internally with all the University’s colleges and resources and guide the development, customization and innovation of educational programs to be delivered in a customer-focused manner that assists an organization's long term success. These responsibilities are performed in an ethical manner consistent with the University’s mission, vision and cultural values.
